This is a new topic for me,as I have little knowledge about grades of gold or silver and wouldn't have a clue about assessing a piece.The book was clearly written, interviewing the basics, and giving instructions for detailed testing.It's not simple to do , requires practice and experience.After reading the book I wouldn't place strong confidence in my ability to test gold or silver pieces to determine purity, but at least I now understand the terminology, and am much more informed than I was before reading the book. I recommend the book for anyone who even occasionally buys jewelry coin or bullion.
Read it and it works great -- but you have to actually read the guide in order for it to work for you!
Very well written and informative! This book is easy to follow, and I believe I learned a lot about testing gold and silver after reading it. The author clearly knows his stuff. I highly recommend it.
