It's a collection of useful articles/references, but they seem to be presented at random, with no logic that I can understand. If I were a beginner, I'd be lost unless I knew exactly what I needed.
Not much to this very basic.
Just started with Linux and was little overwhelmed, to say the least. But this book is really straight forward and up-to-date (current as of 2017). The instructions are easy to follow and I got the system working in no time. I recommend this book for absolute beginners!
This book really helped me understand structure of file system. The section on command line helped me. I have been using Ubuntu on and off for years and finally have a better understanding.
Worst RAILROAD book I have ever read!
Linux has its own pros and cons but I like Linux because of its own platform and it tends to be more secured. The of references (like MAN) is very useful.Getting started is hard specially for newbies like me who needs to get familiar to everything. Luckily, the author explained everything point by point. From installing to coding, the author will discuss it. Really makes it easier to just follow the book. This guide book is useful!
